Below you can see and read a little about some samples of my work.
Chessmaine.net is the official site of the Maine Chess Association, featuring extensive tournament coverage and archives,
event schedules, replayable games with expert annotation, a player database and more. The site has twice won best state website from the Chess Journalists of America. It runs on a much-customized installation of MovableType 4.0.
WiseWays.com is the online shopping cart for WiseWays Herbals, a farm-based manufacturer
of handmade medicinal herbal products, based in the Berkshire Hills of Western MA. The site offers over 150 products at retail and wholesale rates via the Miva Merchant shopping cart software. Much of the photography used on this site is also mine, and I've done much of the design for their product labels, packaging and promotional materials, many samples of which are available for download on the site.
OrganicChiberry.com, which is hosted here on Sunwurm's own server space, is a promotional and sales site for Dr. Chang Naturals, the world's only supplier of certified organic schizandra berry juice. For this site, I used custom CSS, server-side includes and a simple PayPal shopping cart. I also design the product labeling and logos for ChiBerry and its sister products.
WolcottBuilders.com, another custom CSS site, showcases the online portfolio of an award-winning contractor of custom homes in the Hudson Valley.
Small Beer Press, an independent publisher of beautifully-designed works of eclectic fiction, has embraced the social networking model, creative commons, and the ebook revolution. I made them a custom WordPress theme with all kinds of added features and plugins, integration with Facebook, GoodReads, Google tools such as book previews and custom search, PayPal, an integrated shopping cart for instant delivery of ebooks via email, and a separate, brand-new ebook sales site for independent presses, Weightless Books. All those book photos are mine. I also read submissions for their fine zine, Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet, do some ebook conversion for them and perform the occasional odd copyediting task.
And finally, you've probably already seen my photography and fiction writing blog, The Mossy Skull. You probably got here from there. But if you didn't, please go have a look. It too runs on a handmade WordPress theme with much customization.
